I wanted to alert you to a new site I found over the weekend. It's called Bidaroo.com and the way it works is what interested me.
Bidaroo is a charity auction. Products sold on Bidaroo are sold at least 90% below retail. If an item retails for $1,000, a person could buy an item on Bidaroo for less than $100. Pretty neat so far, huh? The winner of the bid is found by finding the highest UNIQUE bidder for an item.
For example, here's a listing of bids for an item on Bidaroo for $100.
Bidders are not allowed to see the highest bid amount, but are allowed to see the highest bidder.
You can obtain FREE tokens for bidding or purchase tokens. Each bid placed takes a certain number of tokens. You can earn 80 free tokens for signing up, and if you refer a friend who signs up you will get 100 free tokens! You can earn up to 50,000 free tokens.
The coolest part of this auction site is the fact that it has a charitable purpose.
The founder had Ewing Sarcoma cancer and therefore charity is very important to him and Bidaroo. Bidaroo's main goal for its creation was to help find a cure for cancer as well as donate to charitable organizations that help us and our families. Let’s make a difference!
